- Remove ladders and accessories.
- Balance pH, water hardness and chemical levels.
- Lower water to below intake skimmers and return valves.
- Clean and vacuum pool.
- Turn off heater.
- Add chemical shock and algicide.
- Drain and clean pump and filter. Add plumbing antifreeze to pump.
- Blow out all water from pipes and lines, close off return openings.
- Fill and arrange water bags around the perimeter.
- Cover the pool.
